4Social is a registered CIC set up to help socially excluded people learn more about ICT and social media skills. We run a different community project every year tackling issues around isolation, mental health and social exclusion. We aim to benefit as many people as possible and grow as a CIC to offer more projects.
In January 2019 The National Lottery funded us to run eight free workshops in the community with people who are social excluded due to; disabilities, learning difficulties, poverty, gender, mental health and substance misuse.
4Social would like to offer agencies one of these free workshops. We aim to give the client group information and guidance by way of a presentation and an engaging workshop that will empower them to utilise digital technology to create new opportunities and stay safe online.
Topics we cover are;
· IT training,
· A guide to staying safe online,
· Practical guidance on to earning a living online,
· Gaining new skills,
· Education and building your CV
· Improve health and wellbeing
· Parenting in a digital age- staying safe and creating opportunity
Our project employs specially trained staff that have extensive experience in working with vulnerable people and risk management. All of the sessions are confidential and use our safeguarding policies.
Following the eight workshops with the community 4Social will use their feedback to build a training package that will be offered to agcy staff to train and raise awareness of socially excluded peoples ICT and social media needs, disadvantages and the tool that can be used to help people. Training sessions will be available to book or staff will be able to use our specially designed online training programs which will launch in September 2019.
If you would like to book a session we have availability from March – June 2018.
